Frequently asked questions about LG Tumble Dryers

How long do tumble dryers last?

This depends on how often you use it – whether that's several times a day or several times a week. But as a rule, your tumble dryer should last for between 10 and 15 years.

Do you have to empty a condenser tumble dryer?

Yes. A condenser tumble dryer collects moisture in a tank (also known as a reservoir). This should be emptied manually after each drying; otherwise, the water will leak out onto your floor.

Do condenser dryers use more electricity?

Condenser tumble dryers are highly energy efficient. Unlike vented or heat pump machines, condenser dryers recycle the hot air they produce to use less electricity. However, they sometimes take slightly longer to dry clothes than other machines.

What is the difference between a vented dryer and a condenser dryer?

Vented tumble dryers dry clothes quicker than condensers because moisture is channelled out of the machine (and your home) via a long, flexible hose. While condenser dryers capture water in a tank that you remove manually.

Which is the cheapest tumble dryer to run?

Heat pump tumble dryers are significantly cheaper to run and more energy-efficient than condenser or vented machines. Some of our LG Heat Pumps include:

  1. LG EcoHybrid 9kg Heat Pump Tumble Dryer- White
  2. LG EcoHybrid 9kg Heat Pump Tumble Dryer- Black Steel
