Installation FAQ

  • Do delivery and installation happen at the same time?
    • Yes. If you have ordered an appliance from us and purchased an installation or connection service, your installers will deliver and install the product in one visit.
  • How do I arrange my installation date?
    • That depends on your service and location. Some products can be decided at the checkout, while others are arranged over the phone. Either way, we'll let you choose a convenient day.
  • Can I change my installation date?
    • Yes. You can either contact the installer directly with the information we provide or call us, and we'll arrange it for you.
  • Can I add installation after I’ve ordered?
    • Yes, providing your appliance hasn't been dispatched. If this is the case, just get in touch, and we'll add it to your order.
  • How long does it take?
    • It depends on the item. Naturally, some jobs will be more complicated and have longer installation times. However, we estimate that any installation will take at least 30 minutes.
  • Is there anything I need to prepare before my installation?
    • Again, this depends on the appliance. If we need you to do or check anything before we arrive, we'll contact you to let you know.
  • I need an electrical appliance installed but a gas appliance removed and recycled
    • No problem. Just tell your installer when they call you to arrange the delivery and installation date.
  • Can you connect or convert LPG cookers?
    • Yes, we can arrange this. But first, please check the product's specifications to see if this is possible. If in doubt, just call our friendly customer service team on 03300 412 271.
  • Do you install in Northern Ireland and the Republic Of Ireland?
    • Unfortunately, we don't offer this service in these locations.
  • Are your installers qualified?
    • Yes, our engineers are fully trained and qualified. They will also supply you with the relevant certificates on completion of the work.
  • Can you disconnect my old appliance?
    • Yes. Some of our installation services include a free disconnection service. Other products offer an optional paid service.
  • Cooker hood installation - Will the team drill a vent in my wall?
    • Unfortunately not, the team won’t complete any building work, but they will remove your old one, mount your new one and connect to an existing power supply.

Recycling FAQ

  • How does the recycling service work?
    • Our team can take your old appliance away to be recycled. All you need to do is disconnect it in readiness for our arrival.

      Please note that our recycling service is offered on a like-for-like basis, so we can only take away the same type of appliance we deliver. And our team cannot disconnect your machine if you haven’t prepaid for this service.
  • Can I have my old appliance recycled without having my new one installed?
    • Yes, recycling can be ordered as a separate service. You can order it when purchasing your product or arrange it at a later date before your items are dispatched.
  • Can I add recycling after I’ve ordered?
    • Yes, recycling can be ordered as a separate service. You can order it when purchasing your product or arrange it at a later date before your items are dispatched.
  • What do you do with my old appliance?
    • We do our best to reuse or recycle every appliance we collect. This way, we prevent usable parts or products from becoming landfill waste.

Everything else

  • What is your door reversal service?
    • Some refrigeration products feature a reversible door. Your engineer will remove this door during delivery and ensure it opens on your preferred side. Please note that if this is available for your model, you'll see it on the basket page.
  • What happens if there’s a problem?
    • In the rare event that something goes wrong or we cannot complete your service, please contact us.
  • Should I offer the delivery team a cuppa?
    • Completely up to you!
