Unsure what extraction rate you need? Use our handy calculator

Extraction Rate Calculator

Use our handy calculator, to help figure out exactly what extraction rate you require for your kitchen.

What are the kitchen dimensions?

What is an extraction rate?

Cooker hoods come with different extraction rates, which determine how quickly the air is changed in the kitchen. It’s recommended that your cooker hood should change the air around 10 times per hour. So, the larger the kitchen the higher the extraction rate.

The extraction rate your kitchen needs all depends on its size. The faster the extraction rate the faster the air will be cleaned, although the noise level may go up, so faster isn’t always better. Take a look at how to work out your extraction rate above.

The ECP72BL is a 70cm wide chimney hood in black with a curved smoked glass canopy from CDA.

This model has 3 speeds selected by push button controls and aluminium grease filters. There are two LED lights to illuminate your hob. The motor gives you a good extraction rate of 391m³/hr, which is ideal for kitchens up to 62 cubic metres, and a relatively low noise level at 58 decibels.

As a wall-mounted extractor, the ECP72BL can be installed to re-circulate the air into the kitchen or to be ducted outside. If you are choosing to re-circulate you'll need a charcoal filter and if you're ducting out you'll need a ducting kit.

CDA guarantee their appliances for 5 years on the parts and 2 years on the labour. Please ensure you register your appliance to receive this.

Question from Elizabeth Daniel: Asked on 16/09/2015 CDA ECP72BL Curved Glass 70cm Chimney Cooker Hood Black (ECP72BL) - does this vent at the top or at the back? Can the chimney be tailored to fit my curved ceiling?

Answer from jasoncooper: Answered on 17/09/2015
The hood duct outlet is on the top of the motor section (shown in the technical drawing on our site) the duct would either go 90 degrees and out of the back or straight up.
