Things to consider when buying for your bathroom

1. Water Pressure

If you are shopping for a shower or tap, it’s best to know whether your water pressure is high or low, this all depends on what type of boiler your home has. You don’t want to set your heart on a new shower or tap design to later learn it's not compatible with your system. Water pressure is measured in bar. All our products will tell you their bar measurement, and this is how you will know if they are suitable for high or low water pressure systems. High pressure is considered to be 1.0 bar and above and low pressure is 1.0 bar and below.

2. Space

Whether you're simply replacing one item or doing a full bathroom makeover it’s important to measure up your space precisely, to ensure a perfect fit. If you're plunging for some stylish bathroom cabinets or a new shower enclosure, think about door openings. You'll also need to consider where your hot and cold water comes in to the bathroom and where the waste water pipes are. You need to keep in mind the journey to the bathroom too. Will your new bath fit through your doors up to the bathroom?

3. Toilets

CLOSE COUPLED TOILETS
These are the most popular choice and easiest to install. The cistern is attached to the wall and sits on top of the toilet pan.

LOW LEVEL/HIGH LEVEL TOILETS
Ideal if you’re after a more traditional look. The toilet cistern mounts to a wall, either at a low level or a high level, with a flush pipe connecting it to the toilet pan.

BACK TO WALL TOILETS
The toilet cistern is concealed behind a false wall or installed within a bathroom cabinet, giving a seamless and modern appearance.

WALL HUNG TOILETS
The toilet is suspended from either a wall or bathroom cabinet, which conceals the cistern. Great for creating the illusion of space.

COMFORT HEIGHT TOILETS
These toilets are designed to offer a higher seating level, they are ideal for those who struggle to comfortably sit at a lower level.

CORNER TOILETS
Neat and petite, these toilets are great space savers. The compact designs are ideal for ensuites and tight cloakrooms.

RIMLESS TOILETS
A relatively new innovation, these stylish toilets have no rim, meaning with every flush the entire interior is cleaned.

DUAL FLUSH TOILETS
All our toilets are dual flush, giving you the option of a 4L or 6L flush, helping to reduce water usage, without having any impact on the quality of the flush.

4. Baths

FREESTANDING BATHS
These baths don’t need to be placed up against a corner, letting you create a show stopping feature. They come in modern and traditional styles, often with decorative feet.

SINGLE END BATHS
Shapely at one end for a relaxing soak, whilst square at the other where the taps are fitted. They come in a range of sizes and suit most bathrooms.

DOUBLE END BATHS
Taps are fitted to the side of the bath, enabling both bath ends to be shaped for a relaxing soak at either end or for two to share.

CORNER BATHS
Slotting perfectly within a corner these triangular shaped baths can save space and also often come with a built in seat.

5. Basins & Sinks

PEDESTAL SINKS
The most popular choice and easiest to install. The basin sits upon a pedestal, either a full pedestal that stands on the floor or a semi pedestal which is mounted to the wall.

COUNTERTOP BASINS
Coming in all different sizes and shapes they’re great for a contemporary look. The basin simply sits upon a cupboard or worktop with piping concealed below.

WALL-MOUNTED BASINS
Ideal when space is at a premium, like in an en suite or small cloakroom. These basins tend to be smaller and mount to the wall, they can also be positioned at any height you like.

SEMI-RECESSED BASINS
These basins sit partially within a worktop or bathroom cabinet, with the lip protruding, creating a spacious appearance. All piping is neatly concealed under the worktop or within the cabinet.

WASH STAND BASINS
The basin is hung from the wall and sits on top of a wash stand or vanity cabinet which conceals all the pipework, whilst offering practical storage below.
