The vast majority of UK households rely on a combi boiler for their heating and hot water. However, in some situations a system boiler may be a much better alternative. Combi boilers are not suited for homes that have a high demand for hot water as they are only designed to support one outlet at a time. Because combi boilers typically switch the burner from heating to hot water when there is demand, heating performance can also be impacted in high demand or very large households.  A system boiler, in contrast, features a separate cylinder for storing hot water. Although the major heating and hot water system components are built into the boiler, the hot water is stored in the cylinder. This means that a constant supply of hot water can be provided to a large number of taps and showers at the same time. This makes it the ideal choice for a home with multiple bathrooms or small offices.

 This is a highly efficient boiler, boasting an ErP A rating and is fully Boiler Plus compliant. An output rating of 30 kW, suitable for standard 2-5 bedrooms homes. For properties that need a boiler with a higher output the Ariston Clas System One is also available as a 18kW unit and 24kW unit.

XTRATECH STAINLESS STEEL HEAT EXCHANGER

Stainless steel heat exchangers are exceptionally robust and operate well in a wide range of pH values, providing resistance to corrosion.

Wider pipes allow water to pass through the heat exchanger more effectively, with less risk of blockages from debris. This extra width also allows hot water to pass through the heat exchanger quicker.

The enhanced single coil heat exchanger is robust and highly efficient, thanks to an improved condensing surface and increased hydraulic performance. This also allows for constant water speeds and a reduced chance of blockages, ensuring a long lifespan.
