Question from MQ: Asked on 13/05/2010 How secure is the hose fitting into the rear of the unit? Is it simply plugged in or screwed?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 13/05/2010
The fitting is threaded so it can be screwed or pushed in as the hose is flexable

Question from albacore: Asked on 01/06/2009 Is this unit suitable to use in a room without windows? Its a small meeting room with just a door, which would be closed for the meeting. What could we do with the hose?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 01/06/2009
All portable Air conditioners will need a door, window or wall vent to place the hose through so unfortunately wouldn't be suitable.

Question from Rockcottage: Asked on 31/05/2009 Where is the product manufactured?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 01/06/2009
Various countries. The outer casing is manufactured in Italy. The final assembly is in China

Question from Gregory: Asked on 27/07/2008 Does the timer allow you to programme the unit to cut in and cut out every day at a particular time? i.e. a built-in clock, as opposed to some units that just allow you to set a one-time delay of X hours before next cut-in or cut-out? We need to be able to leave the unit unattended for 1-2 weeks at a time, but with daily on-off cycles.
Also, I don't understand the feature 'condensate tray full indicator' if there is no tank.

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 28/07/2008
Its only a delay timer not a clock to set time. The condensing tray is different to a tank. It’s a small internal tank that is used to re-humidify and further cool the air.

Question from SophieK: Asked on 24/07/2008 I am having a new house built so is it possible for the hose to be built in through the wall & cavity to an external air brick? Would an air brick give enough ventilation or would heat from the hose build up in the cavity?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 24/07/2008
You could certainly build the hose through the wall, but it would be best to consult your builder with regards to your heat build up question.

Question from BenH: Asked on 29/06/2008 If i want, will the unit be able to cool more than 18C or will the thermostat prevent that? I saw another unit from purelife that can cool to 16C, is 18C more than enough? Thanks

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 03/07/2008
18C more than enough. Maybe at 18 you will have to off the aircon due to cold. However if you realy want less than 18 then you can consider KY44B (15,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner) .

Question from Vips: Asked on 13/06/2008 For how long can you run this without draining out water and what happens if water level exceed maximum.
thanks

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 16/06/2008
This unit does not have a tank, instead it clears the water through the same hose used to extract the warm air.

Question from joeb: Asked on 10/05/2008 this unit is not 12000 BTU; although the name suggests it

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 12/05/2008
Hi Joeb, I've confirmed with Amcor and it is a 12000 BTU using enthalpy method at 27 degrees C, 60%RH
