Meaco 10 Litre Dehumidifier with Humidistat

This compact and light compressor dehumidifier is an excellent choice for a 2-3 bedroom house; combine this with the quiet operation and economical running costs and it becomes clear why the Meaco10L is such a popular choice with customers. It is also an ideal choice for a small office.

This dehumidifier will work to keep condensation off your windows and protect your house from damp or mould. It is also great for drying your clothes indoors. Heating bills during winter can be reduced too, as dry air is much easier to heat.

As well as keeping your home dry and helping prevent issues like damp or mould growth, a dehumidifier can be very beneficial for asthmatics and those with respiratory issues. Lowering humidity levels also helps to keep house dust mites at bay as they thrive in damp conditions.

Question from Louise: Asked on 05/02/2014 What should my humidity be? I live in a two bed flat and has a musty smell..... I can smell it on my clothes when I'm not in the property . My humidity levels are anything from 65 percent and above. Sometimes in my kitchen thy reach 80 percent..... What would a dehumidifier do.... Will it get rid of my musty smell?

Answer from jasoncooper: Answered on 12/02/2014
A dehumidifier would control the humidity levels throughout the whole flat.
Opt for a model with an ioniser as the ioniser will control the bacteria that create mould.

Question from meaco 10L Dehumidifier: Asked on 02/02/2011 I HAVE 2 BEDROOMS WHICH ARE DAMP AND HAVE SOME MOULD IN THEM. wOULD THIS HUMIDIFIER HELP THIS PROBLEM? WHERE WOULD I POSITION IT? HOW MUCH ELECTRICITY DOES IT USE? HOW LONG PER DAY DO U NEED TO OPERATE IT?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 03/02/2011
Its depends what the cause is; If water is leaking in from the outside its unlikely it will make any difference. If its because the humidity level inside is high then it would help. Heat along with a dehumidifier is often the best solution. You may need to alternate rooms daily while leaving the doors open unless to start reducing the humidity levels. On full power it would use around 220W and you would want to run it continuously until the humidity level lowers
