Induction technology
Induction hobs use electromagnetism to cook. From the second a pan touches a cooking zone, the hob automatically detects a pan touching its surface and starts to heat the point of contact on the zone. A magnetic field is created allowing heat to pass from the zone to the base of the pan. The rest of the hob is cool and the zone heats up fast.

With 9 power levels available for each zone, you can carefully and precisely regulate the amount of heat going to your food for a more sensitive cooking process and accurate final results.
Design
This 4 zone induction hob has a frameless design that will blend seamlessly with your countertop for a smoother and more continuous appearance to your kitchen work surface. The touch controls are situated at the front which makes it much easier to control the hob without having to reach over hot cookware when it's in use.
Touch controlled
All the functions of this hob are operated at the touch of a fingertip. The touch controls for the power levels and timer are accompanied by a LED display that shows what power level each zone is on, and the progress of the timer.
There is also a safety key lock button just off the centre of the control panel that allows you to lock down all the controls to prevent accidental operation of the power levels.
To give your cooking a head-start, there is a booster function on each zone that will allow for a power level higher than the maximum power 9 level, to run for 10 minutes before returning to power 9.
Easy to clean, shatterproof surface
The ceramic surface of this electric hob is easy to clean and is shatterproof. This means that should something crack the hob, it won't shatter into large shards of sharp glass and will remain intact until you are able to sort it out.
Timer
Keep track of your cooking with the handy digital timer that comes with this hob. With a maximum of 99 minutes on the timer, you can set it to keep track of your cooking whilst you get on with other things.
Safety features
To make sure you are aware of the wellbeing of the kitchen and your hob at all times, Matrix has given this induction hob a host of clever safety features:
Residual heat indicators: This hob has residual heat indicators that keep you aware of which zones are too hot to touch after cooking. The indicator will only go off when it is safe to touch.
Small object detection: If anything is left on the hob such as cutlery or towels, the hob will automatically switch itself off and beep every 10 seconds until you remove the obstruction.
Anti-overheat protection: If you are installing this hob over an oven, the hob can monitor its temperature to make sure the heat from the oven doesn't cause it to overheat.
