The details

Keep your home free from condensation and mould all year-round with the portable 18L Dehumidifier. It features an intelligent software system that constantly monitors the temperature and humidity in your home and switches on and off accordingly. Its incredibly economical to run and can save you up to £50 per year in running costs compared with humidistat controlled dehumidifiers. Plus, once the water tank reaches its limit, the dehumidifier automatically shuts down to avoid any chance of overflowing, for you to then simply remove and empty the water tank at the front of the unit.

Thanks to Ebacs exclusive Intelligent Defrost technology, you'll be able to use the dehumidifier at temperatures as low as 3°C, which is perfect for the British climate. You'll also be pleased to know that there's a particular function designed to significantly reduce the drying time of damp laundry when drying indoors, which is especially useful over the winter months. This means you won't have to keep your heating on as long to dry your clothes, thus reducing your energy bills! There's even an air purification mode to clean air from pollen, dust, smoke and other airborne pollutants - ideal for those with breathing difficulties.

Question from David: Asked on 25/11/2012 Hi Mark. Can you please tell me the cost of the replacement internal filters for the Ebac2650e dehumidifier. I have Asthma and think this may help me. Regards David

Answer from Gavin: Answered on 27/11/2012
Hi Mark, I'm afraid we do not sell additional filters, therefore could not give you a price on them.

A quick Google search should turn something up though.

Regards

Question from RP: Asked on 02/03/2011 With continuous drainage, does the drainage hose have to be kept at ground level to get rid of the water or will the water still drain out if the end of the hose is placed into a wash basin or bath or kitchen sink?
i.e is drainage gravity fed or is the water pumped out of the hose?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 03/03/2011
The hose needs to be lower as its gravity fed

Question from Caryl: Asked on 30/01/2011 Hi Mark
Do you need a drainage system for this humidifier to work or can you manually remove water. Caryl

Answer from mark h: Answered on 31/01/2011
The unit fills a tank that can be removed and emptied, once full the unit will stop. Alternatively you have the option to continuously drain so you wouldn't have to empty it

Question from PC: Asked on 01/01/2011 Do we need to leave it plugged in all the time?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 04/01/2011
It depends on how you plan to use it. If its for home use most people will run it continuously just over winter and maybe for brief periods in the year when there is allot of rain

Question from jake: Asked on 03/11/2010 do i need to factor into the cost buying a £15 filyer kit every year?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 04/11/2010
Ebac recommend that you clean the filter every month and replace after 3 months, however this would apply if the unit is being used continuously for 3 months and is dependant on the environment its being used in. A pack of 3 filters should last you at least a year if not longer

Question from Christine: Asked on 02/11/2010 It says this is suitable for up to a 4 bedroom house, does that mean that you have move this into different rooms around the house or can it be in one place and remove the moisture from all the rooms in the house?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 03/11/2010
Depending on your house you would generally only need to move it upstairs and down stairs not into each individual room, however if its fairly open plan you may be able to leave it just in one location

Question from Gary: Asked on 19/10/2010 What is the basic differences between this model and the Amazon?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 20/10/2010
There are quite a few differences, but the main ones are the 2650e has a higher extraction rate, electronic rather than rotary controls, 2 year warranty, permanent drain facility, smart humidistat
