Maximises HDR – including HDR10+
For the highest quality picture, HDR10+ offers scene-by-scene HDR mastering for the truest, most accurate HDR picture technology to date. With HDR10+ each scene is optimised, meaning the maximum amount of detail is shown – even in the brightest or darkest moments. The TX58GX800 also supports standard HDR10 and HLG formats. HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma HDR) is a broadcast and user generated standard format that is set to become the standard for transmitting 4K signals.
Dolby Vision for dramatic imaging
As well as supporting HDR10+, the TX58GX800 is also compatible with Dolby Vision - a leading format in Hollywood and cinemas around the world. Dolby Vision also adjusts the picture to take full advantage of each display's characteristics and presents an optimized picture for each scene in specially mastered content.
Local Dimming for breath-taking detail
Thanks to Local Dimming, this Panasonic 58” TV brings out the best in any image - whatever the resolution. Whether 4K UHD, 1080p FHD or standard definition, Local Dimming adjusts the brightness of the screen by zones. This gives greatly improved contrast, as the black sections of the TV can be darker and the whites brighter.
Bluetooth Audio Link
Featuring a two-way Bluetooth Audio link, the TX58GX800 makes the most of this wireless connectivity. Use the Bluetooth output to link up with your headphones or Bluetooth speaker. Alternatively, send Bluetooth sound from your smartphone, tablet or other Bluetooth enabled device to the TV and listen through the TV’s speakers.
Voice Assistant – Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatible*

When it comes to smart TV flexibility, the TX58GX800B has all the features you need. A full web browser complements a wide range of web apps. DLNA certified streaming makes it easy to transfer music and video files from your home computer, laptop or NAS drive to the TV. Also standard is Swipe and Share functionality. Swipe and share lets you use the Panasonic Remote TV app for smartphone media sharing. By using the app on your smartphone or tablet you can easily stream pictures, 4K videos and music straight to the TV - no cables required.
Freeview Play for easy access to catch-up TV
This Panasonic also features Freeview Play. This combines catch-up TV, on-demand services and live television to make it easy to watch what you want, when you want. It's free from subscription and compatible with existing broadband services, while BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, All 4 and Demand 5 are available without having to open specific apps, giving effortless scroll-back TV (requires broadband Internet connection with a minimum speed of 2Mbps).
