Things to consider when buying sinks and taps for your kitchen

1. Top Tips for Kitchen Sinks

Bowl Size — Kitchen sinks come in all different shapes and sizes. When buying consider practicality and a sink which will suit your lifestyle.

Sink Material — The material of the sink should complement your kitchen design and enhance your kitchen. We have a wide range of the most popular materials available.

Dimensions — Ensure you have sufficient counter space available, check cut out dimensions provided.

Fitting — Consider how the sink will fit into the worktop. An inset sink will sit on top of the counter and an undermount sink sits under the counter.

2. Top Tips for Kitchen Taps

Tap Size — The height and reach of the spout should fit your kitchen. Consider the tap reach and whether this is suitable for the size of your sink.

Tap Material — The two most common types of material are stainless steel and brass finished in chrome. Both are excellent materials for durable and long lasting taps.

Tap Holes — Consider if your sink has tap holes otherwise you may need to cut holes into your worktop. The standard cut out size for taps in 35mm. The vast majority of taps can be deck mounted.

Water Pressure — Calculate the distance between your boiler and tap, one meter of piping roughly equates to 0.1 bar pressure. If your house has a combi boiler, pressure is not an issue.
