When you’re paying out big money for a brand new TV, some added peace of mind can go a long way. With our TV Pre Delivery inspection that’s exactly what you get; the knowledge that your new entertainment centrepiece has been carefully checked and double checked by our trained engineers, so when you receive it it’ll be ready to simply plug in and enjoy.

Though we strive to provide faultless products every single time, it’s inevitable that now and again things can happen that are out of our control. With a TV Pre Delivery Inspection our engineers will test all the key components of your new set and ensure they’re in perfect working order before shipping. Our comprehensive inspection includes:

  • Freeview/Freesat Tuner Test – To make sure you can access all your favourite channels from the moment you plug in.
  • Dead Pixel Test – The screen is the most important component of your new TV, and this test will ensure it lives up to expectations.
  • Connectivity Test – Your TV is only one aspect of your home entertainment setup; we’ll guarantee the integrity of all the different ports and sockets so you can connect your devices with confidence.
  • Speaker Test – Great pictures are nothing without great sound. This test will make sure you get pitch-perfect performance on all your favourite movies and shows.
  • Backlight Bleed Test – Because TV screens are lit from behind, it’s possible that light can leak through and compromise the picture. We’ll check to make sure it doesn’t, so you’ll only experience the best picture quality.
  • Remote Test – It’s no use having all those channels at your disposal, then finding out that you can’t access them. We’ll put batteries in your remote and ensure you can channel surf to your heart’s content.

Give yourself some added peace of mind and enjoy your brand new TV straight out of the box, with one of our TV Pre Delivery Inspections.

Please note: This process takes up to 48 hours. Your chosen delivery time will commence after this time.

Question from joe: Asked on 21/08/2012 if you dont get the inspection and you find dead pixels, what would you do?

Answer from jeremy: Answered on 21/08/2012
Depending on where they are & now many there is, will determine what will happen. If it has 1 or 2 on the edges, then it won't be classed a sa fault. If it has 1 in the middle, or main vewing area, then that would be classed as a fault. Technically, for it to be classed as a fault, it has to have a cluster of 8m or more within a 2 cm sq area.

Question from dezza: Asked on 25/09/2011 why do I need a PDI if the Tv's are new surely they should have been tested by the manufacturer or are these Tv's substandard

Answer from jeremy: Answered on 26/09/2011
TV's are assembled but only batch tested by manufacturers. Why have a PDI on a car? This ensures that evrything is in working order plus also checks for dead pixels, which isn't classed as a fault by manufacturers

Question from Alan P: Asked on 04/03/2011 PDI includes checks for dead pixels. If I do not pay for the PDI test then find any dead pixels on set up after delivery will mine be changed ?

Answer from jeremy: Answered on 07/03/2011
This does cover dead pixel check. If the TV does have dead pixels, it will all depend upon the location & quantity of pixels. Around the periferal of the screen would not be classed as a fault. In the middle or main viewing area, then it could be deamed as a fault, depending on the number of dead pixels

Question from ROfu: Asked on 25/12/2010 what happens if you find dead pixels? and how many if any dead pixels are considered acceptable? If there are some dead pixels can i cancel my order

Answer from jeremy: Answered on 30/12/2010
the PDI includes checks for dead pixels. If we find any then we swap the TV
