If you want to be immersed in a truly remarkable viewing experience then a projector may be for you. Projectors are very versatile making them ideal for watching your favourite movies on the big screen, delivering professional business presentations, or using them as a teaching aid in a classroom. The two main projector technologies are LCD and DLP.

LCD (liquid crystal display) projectors are generally better where colour reproduction is concerned, especially in classrooms with ample ambient light. The image quality of an LCD projector is seemingly sharper than that of a DLP projector as a result of the highly focused lens, however pixels will become more obvious in videos. LCD Projectors require more internal components and as a result are physically larger than DLP Projectors.

DLP (Digital Light Processing) projectors are an ideal choice for those looking to experience their home movies on the big screen thanks to its higher achievable contrasts and smoother video images. DLP Projectors require more lumens than an LCD projector to achieve rich colours when dealing with ambient light. DLP Projectors use an optical semiconductor to recreate source material and are therefore generally more portable as fewer internal components are required.
