How much does a Lay-Z-Spa cost to run?

The expenses associated with operating a Lay-Z-Spa hot tub can vary greatly depending on the user and their specific usage habits. In fact, using your Lay-Z-Spa only on weekends could be more affordable than ordering a couple of Starbucks.

It's crucial to recognize that each Lay-Z-Spa owner's experience will differ, with multiple factors impacting the overall running costs. These factors can range from the size and water capacity of the Lay-Z-Spa, its location (sheltered or exposed), how often it's used, fluctuations in outdoor temperatures, and differing energy tariffs.

Given these variables, the following running cost estimates serve merely as a guide, calculated based on current average energy prices.

All tests conducted in the same location with a floor mat on decking, against a low wooden fence with the same volume of water, the same operating times and the filter running constantly.

Weekend usage = Heating to 40°C on Friday, using the AirJets for 45 mins on Saturday & 45 mins on Sunday and turning off the heat after use on the Sunday.

Full Week usage = Heating to 40°C on Monday, using the AirJets for 30 mins on Wednesday, 30 mins on Friday & 30 mins on Saturday. Please note – if kept running, the initial heat-up cost will only happen once and the following weeks will be cheaper.
