I have been advised by our technical team that you would need to check with the manufacture of the laminate flooring that you are putting down as the heat in theory could damage the laminate flooring and make it warp.

Answer from probertshaw Hi, it really does depend how much it is used. If you buy a thermostatic controller to keep it at a controlled temperature you can regulate your costs this way. I have underfloor heating and found the increase in costs being minimal. Its worth the cost as its great walking barefoot on warm tiles.
