This is a 16 Channel DVR supplied with 8 Cameras, therefore giving you the flexibility of adding 8 additional cameras in the future.

This is entirely upto yourself, as this particular CCTV System features motion detection. If you choose to use 24/7 recording your HDD will fill up faster, therefore we would recommend the Motion detection mode.
