There are several types of outdoor pizza ovens, each offering something different:
Many users switch to outdoor pizza ovens after struggling with regular BBQs with a pizza stone or kitchen ovens that never quite hit the mark. Key issues like uneven cooking, undercooked dough, or the hassle of waiting for a conventional oven to heat. These are eliminated with a dedicated pizza oven.
Modern pizza ovens are built with insulation that holds heat efficiently. Many feature cordierite or stone baking surfaces that mimic the conditions of a traditional pizza oven. Some models are also fully portable. So you can pack it for camping, take it to the beach, or move it around the garden with ease.

They both allow you to cook at high temperatures. However, gas-powered pizza ovens heat up quicker than wood-fired ovens and produce neither ash nor soot.
Wood-fired pizzas taste delicious because woodsmoke infuses within the base, and the high temperature causes the crust to crisp and bubble.
Once your wood-fired pizza oven has reached optimal cooking temperature, it will take between 90 seconds and two minutes to cook one pizza – depending on its size and thickness. Top tip: Regularly rotate your pizza to ensure it is evenly cooked.
We recommend using propane to power your gas pizza oven. Just so you know, 0.5kg of propane will give you roughly two hours of cooking time.
