Question from Amanda: Asked on 18/09/2017 How do I know that my door and hinges will be suitable for a new washer dryer
When buying an integrated washer dryer, you will need to ensure that it will fit in your cupboard space, so you should measure this space and not your old appliance. Please bare in mind that there may be pipes at the back so the depth of your space needs to accommodate this. The average clearance needed on either side of the washer dryer is 5mm and you'll need a plinth to cover the bottom of the machine once it's inside the cupboard.
Providing these steps have been followed, as long as your chosen washer dryer fits in your cupboard space, your furniture door will just need to cover the cupboard space and hinges will be fitted as normal for a furniture door, as the door doesn't need to be attached to the appliance itself.
