Extraction Rate Calculator

Use our handy calculator, to help figure out exactly what extraction rate you require for your kitchen.

What are the kitchen dimensions?

What is an extraction rate?

Cooker hoods come with different extraction rates, which determine how quickly the air is changed in the kitchen. It’s recommended that your cooker hood should change the air around 10 times per hour. So, the larger the kitchen the higher the extraction rate.

The extraction rate your kitchen needs all depends on its size. The faster the extraction rate the faster the air will be cleaned, although the noise level may go up, so faster isn’t always better. Take a look at how to work out your extraction rate above.

The Crystal is Elica’s latest version of the popular flat glass canopy chimney hood extractor combining the elegance of glass with the appeal of stainless steel. It comes with a low noise motor with a maximum of 59 decibels, no louder than a normal conversation, and can extract up to 450 cubic metres of air per hour.
The push buttons on this extractor illuminate while in use and make selecting one of the 3 speeds a breeze. There are also two 20 Watt halogen bulbs to light up the hob below, and a metal washable grease filter.
There is a 150mm/6inch ducting connecter on the Crystal and it’s available in 60cm and 90cm widths.
