Smart Things Cooking
Make cooking simple with SmartThings Cooking. By understanding your needs, it provides personalised recipes and meal plans. It also lets you check the cooktop’s settings, while a sensor monitors food to
ensure it’s cooked properly. Requires a wireless network, a Samsung account and the Samsung SmartThings App. The Samsung SmartThings App supports Android OS 8.0 (Oreo) or later, which is optimised for Samsung smartphones. This App also supports iOS 13 or later for iPhone models. The SmartThings App is available in the App Store and Play Store. Available in certain languages, including English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Only monitoring is available. The cooktop cannot be turned on/off using a smartphone. Only available in the UK and Germany.

Never sure which pot or pan to use? Auto pan detection does the thinking for you and tells you to choose a different one if it doesn’t cover enough of the cooking zone.

Child Lock (Hob)

The GPS based automation locks or unlocks your hob, so you can leave your home with added peace of mind. Available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi Fi connection and a Samsung account are required. Only available when activated by the user. The quality of the GPS reception may affect the performance.
Residual Heat Indicator
For extra safety in the kitchen, the H symbol stays on once the hob is turned off. It's a handy reminder not to touch or clean until it cools down.
