Question from Scott: Asked on 19/10/2025 Hi can you tell me what side the electric cable is wired into hob on the underside. Or do you have any images? If it's on the right side it may not reach my socket
Hi Scott, the electric cable is located off-centre on the right-hand side. If you need further sales and advice, please call us at 0871 984 4416 (calls cost 13p per min plus your network access charge). Thank you.
Question from Jordan: Asked on 11/10/2025 Can it come with a longer cable?
Hi Jordan,The ElectriQ EIQ60INDTP includes a 1 m cable; using a longer cable requires strict adherence to electrical safety standards and will likely void the manufacturer's warranty. Thanks!
Question from Mrs Parkes: Asked on 20/09/2025 Does this hob have a cut off so that if the pan boils over the power is cut automatically?
Hi,The electriQ EI60INDTP 4-zone induction hob includes a safety-enhancing timer with an auto shut-off feature that automatically turns off each zone when the set cooking duration expires, and it also features residual heat indicators to alert users when the surface is still hot. Thanks!
Question from Ryan: Asked on 18/09/2025 Hi can all four rings be used at same time thanks
Hi Ryan,Yes, all four cooking zones on the induction hob can be used at the same time. However, due to the total power load of 3 kW and a 13A fuse, the hob may share power among the zones. This means that if all four zones are operating at high heat simultaneously, their individual power output may be slightly reduced. Thanks!
Question from Thomas Bowskil: Asked on 31/07/2025 Is this induction hob portable
Hi, The electriQ 60cm 4 Zone 13amp Plug In Induction Hob (SKU: eiQ60INDTP) is not designed to be portable. While it features a plug-and-go installation, eliminating the need for hardwiring, its dimensions (590mm width x 520mm depth) and weight (approximately 8 kg) make it more suitable for permanent installation in a kitchen. Its size and weight would make it cumbersome to move frequently. Thanks!
Question from Daniel Bailey: Asked on 12/10/2022 Can ferrous and non ferrous pans be used on this hob ?
Hello Daniel
This hob is an induction hob and induction hobs only work with pots and pans that contain ferrous metal in the base. Full stainless steel, aluminium, copper, terracotta or pyrex don't contain ferrous material, so they won't work.
To check if a pan will work use a magnet if the magnet sticks it will work with an induction hob.
