Integrated Fridge-Freezers: Measuring Up Guide

Struggling to know which integrated fridge freezer will fit your existing unit? Here's our easy guide that will tell you everything you need to know about finding the perfect fit.

Top tips when measuring for an integrated fridge freezer:

  • It would be a good idea to look for an appliance that matches the cabinet in which the current one sits. For example, if you have an integrated fridge freezer with a 60/40 split, you will need to buy another 60/40 appliance.
  • In addition, it is vital to know the height and width of your cabinet to ensure the appliance you want will fit within the space available. The depths of integrated fridge freezers are a standard size, which ensures they will all fit within a standard-sized cabinet.
  • To check the dimensions of our integrated fridge freezers, please go to the Tech Spec section of the product page.
  • We offer an additional service to fit your integrated appliance. Please click here to find out more.

Integrated Fridge-Freezer Splits

Integrated fridge freezers are built with various split types. A split is the amount of space you have available in the fridge and freezer sections. We currently have 3 splits available, which are 50/50, 60/40 & 70/30.

If you are replacing an existing integrated fridge freezer, it will help if you choose a model that has the same split type as your existing model. This will make the installation easier as the hinges are in the same place and the door to your cabinet will still fit.

Measuring the height

Measure the height

When measuring up your integrated fridge freezer, it is important to make sure your appliance is the correct height so that it fits inside your housing unit.

We currently stock various different heights ranging from 140cm to 200cm to ensure we have the right integrated fridge freezer for you.

To make sure your new appliance is the perfect fit, measure your existing appliance from the bottom to the top.

Measuring the width

Measure the width

Integrated fridge freezers normally come in a standard width of around 55cm. However, we do stock some wider models that go up to around 60cm to make sure we cater for all cabinet sizes.

So to make sure your new appliance will fit in the designated space, simply measure your existing appliance from the left side to the right side.

Measuring the depth

Measure the depth

Integrated appliances are designed to create a seamless look, so the vast majority of integrated fridge freezers have a depth of 55cm.

This means that you don't have to worry about measuring the depth; however, if you do want to double check, simply measure your appliance from the back to the front.

Door-on-Door Hinges and Sliding Rail Hinges

If you have never previously had an integrated fridge freezer, then you can choose between both hinge types and the fridge freezer will be fitted accordingly into your kitchen.

If you are replacing an old integrated fridge freezer, then you will need to look at what hinge your current fridge has; is it a door on door hinge (first animation) or a sliding door hinge (second animation). You will then have to choose a fridge freezer with the same door hinge.
