The details
A 60cm induction hob with a flex zone down the left-hand side: the two left zones link into one long cooking area for a griddle, fish kettle or oval casserole. Two round zones on the right take everyday pans. A slider control sets the heat across nine power levels, Boost gives a burst of extra power when you need water boiling quickly, and the built-in timer keeps track of cooking times. It needs hardwiring to a 32A supply by a qualified electrician.

Link the two left-hand zones and they work as one long cooking area. A griddle, fish kettle or oval casserole heats along its whole length instead of having a hot spot at each end.
Boost
Faster boil
Press Boost for a short burst of extra power. It's ideal for bringing a big pan of pasta water to the boil or getting a wok hot, then it drops back to your chosen setting.
Slider control
Slide to set
Run a finger along the slider to choose from nine power levels, rather than tapping plus and minus. The controls sit at the front of the hob where they're easy to reach.
