Question from Zubi: Asked on 06/01/2026 Will the carbon filler work in this hood if you extract the air. Wanting to use the grease filter and the carbon filter together. Sorry just a little clueless.
Hi, This cooker hood can be used in either extraction or recirculation mode.
When the hood is ducted to extract air outside, only the grease filters are used and carbon filters are not required or recommended, as odours are removed by venting the air externally.
Carbon filters are only used when the hood is set up in recirculation mode (no external ducting). In this setup, air passes through the grease filter first, then through the carbon filter to reduce cooking odours before being returned to the kitchen.
Therefore, the grease filter and carbon filter are used together only in recirculation mode, not when extracting air outside.
Thank you.
Question from Charles: Asked on 29/12/2025 How does this extract to the outside vent if vent is 5ft to the left
Hi, The electriQ 90?cm Slimline Chimney Hood vents through a top outlet using standard 150?mm ducting. Even though your external vent is about 5?ft to the left, the duct can be routed horizontally with gentle bends to reach it, ensuring effective extraction. If installing ducting isn’t practical, the hood can also operate in recirculation mode with a carbon filter, which cleans and returns the air to the kitchen.
Thank you.
