Upgrade your kitchen with the sleek and modern electriQ 60cm Induction Hob, designed to deliver precision cooking with ease. This versatile appliance combines advanced induction technology with intuitive controls, making it the perfect addition to any contemporary kitchen.
The control panel is conveniently positioned at the front of the hob for quick and easy access to all the cooking functions. With easy-to-use knob controls, adjusting the heat to your preferred level has never been simpler. Whether you’re simmering, boiling, or frying, the smooth control system ensures that you can fine-tune your cooking effortlessly. The design is intuitive, offering a traditional approach to modern cooking. The timer function is great too as it can be programmed to switch off your chosen hob zone after a set amount of time to prevent any overcooking or burning.
The hob comes with several clever safety features to make the whole experience as stress-free as possible. For instance, each cooking zone comes with a residual heat indicator to let you know when the surface has cooled to a temperature that's safe to touch. Plus, it'll automatically switch off if you leave the heat unattended for a long time. You can even lock the touch controls so that the hob settings can't be accidentally activated by wandering hands, which is great peace of mind for those with little children.

Question from David Levine: Asked on 18/11/2025 Why are there 5 knobs for 4 rings?
Hi David, this hob has 4 cooking zones, each controlled by its own knob. The 5th knob is dedicated to the built-in timer, allowing you to set cooking times independently of the heat controls. This design gives you precise and convenient control over both cooking and timing. Thank you.
Question from Clara M: Asked on 15/11/2025 Does the timer turn off all the rings at the same time?
Hi Clara, it works individually for each cooking zone, so each ring turns off separately when its timer ends. It does not switch off all zones at the same time. Thank you.
Question from Tord: Asked on 13/11/2025 Installing the induction hob above an oven, how much space should I leave between the hob and the oven?
Hi, For safe installation of the electriQ 60?cm Induction Hob (EIQIND60KV2) above an oven, leave at least 5–50?mm below for ventilation and 30?mm above the oven front. Ensure surrounding surfaces can handle heat, and plug the pre-fitted 13A plug into a properly earthed socket. If using a cooker hood, follow its recommended clearance.
Thank you.
Question from Judith: Asked on 28/10/2025 Can it be hard wired in because the current one is and needs replacing, 30amp cable
Hi Judith, yes, this appliance can be hardwired. However, if you need to hardwire this, please contact a qualified person (qualified electrician) who can follow the required electrical diagram provided with its instruction manual. Thank you.
Question from Jan Gray: Asked on 10/10/2025 Is this hob made of glass
Hi,Yes, the electriQ EIIND60KV2 60cm 4-Zone Induction Hob features a black glass ceramic surface. This material is commonly used in induction hobs for its durability, ease of cleaning, and modern aesthetic. The hob is designed with knob controls located at the front, offering a user-friendly interface for adjusting settings. Thanks!
Question from Colin: Asked on 03/10/2025 How much clearance does the hob need on each side? The hob will be near an oven housed in a cupboard unit on the right side.
Hi Colin,For safe and optimal installation of the electriQ EIIND60KV2 induction hob, especially adjacent to an oven on the right, ensure you maintain sufficient clearance: a minimum of 50 mm both below and ideally on the sides for ventilation. Overhead clearance should be at least 65 cm (with a hood) or 70 cm (without). Always verify that surrounding materials can tolerate over 100 °C and connect the 13A pre-fitted plug to a properly earthed socket. Thanks!
