Question from Fitzy: Asked on 01/03/2026 Do I have to open the flap when in use, or is that only to gain accessbto the filter?
Hi Fitzy,For the electriQ 60cm Angled Hood with Touch Control (model eiQTMS60BLTOUCH), you do not need to manually open the flap when using the hood. The flap is designed to lift automatically when the fan is turned on, allowing air to flow freely through the filters and vent. You only need to open it manually when cleaning or replacing the grease or carbon filters. Thanks!
Question from Mel: Asked on 28/02/2026 Hi
What carbon filter is used for this product please
Hi Mel,The ElectriQ 60cm Angled Hood with Touch Control (model eiQTMS60BLTOUCH) does not come with a carbon filter, which is only needed if you use the hood in recirculation mode. The compatible filter for this model is the ElectriQ Carbon Filter (SKU: eiqvistmcarbon), sold as a pack and designed to remove cooking odors. It typically needs replacing every six months, depending on usage. Thanks!
Question from Westy: Asked on 08/02/2026 Has the front got a stainless steel band across the top
Hi,The electriQ 60?cm Angled Hood with Touch Control (model eiQTMS60BLTOUCH) has a sleek black glass front and does not feature a stainless steel band across the top. Thanks!
Question from Westy: Asked on 08/02/2026 We have a ducting kit, do you still need to buy the charcoal filter or are the grease filters sufficient
Hi Westy,If you’re using your electriQ 60?cm angled hood with a ducting kit to vent air outside, the included grease filters are sufficient and you don’t need a charcoal filter. Charcoal filters are only required if you plan to run the hood in recirculation mode, where the air is filtered and returned to the kitchen instead of being vented outside. Thanks!
Question from Vicky: Asked on 23/01/2026 Does it need to be fitted by a professional? Or can we fit ourselves?
Hi Vicky,You can mount the electriQ 60cm Angled Hood yourself if you’re comfortable with basic tools and use the included plug, but any hard-wiring or ducting to the outside should be done by a qualified professional for safety and compliance with regulations. Thanks!
Question from James: Asked on 22/12/2025 If used only as a recirculating hood, can this be installed without the chimney? I have a hob against a sloped ceiling will limited height so not much room for chimney above the extractor
Hi, Yes, this hood can be used without the chimney in recirculation mode — it filters the air with grease and charcoal filters and returns it to the kitchen. The chimney isn’t needed, but a charcoal filter is required for odours.
Thank you.
Question from madiha: Asked on 06/10/2025 can it be used as a dig out from wall extractor or is it jus inside filter one?
Hi Madiha, this product can be used both ways, as a wall-extracted hood venting air outside or as a recirculating hood with carbon filters if external venting is not possible. You will just need the appropriate ducting kit for external extraction or carbon filters for recirculation. Thank you.
