Question from John: Asked on 02/11/2025 Can this heater be controlled without Wi-Fi?
Hi John, the operation is solely controlled via the Tuya App. A raised box with a power switch and a Wi-Fi button is on the back unit. Without Wi-Fi, you will not be able to use it as intended. Thank you.
Question from D: Asked on 27/10/2025 What sort of paint should be used?
Hi, please use heat-resistant radiator paint. Thank you.
Question from Mary: Asked on 27/10/2025 How economical is this wall heater. Is it more efficient and energy saving than any other type of electric heater?
Hi Mary, this infrared wall heater is highly energy-efficient for small rooms up to 10 square metres. Running costs are around 13p per hour on full power, making it cheaper than most standard electric heaters. Its smart features, WiFi control, timers, and thermostat help reduce energy use, though it is best suited as a supplementary heat source rather than the primary heater for larger areas. Thank you.
Question from Vydaim: Asked on 26/10/2025 Can I install this in a bathroom
Hi, this heater is not suitable for bathroom installation. Thank you.
Question from Peter: Asked on 26/10/2025 Can I install this in a bathroom
Hi Peter, this heater is not suitable for bathroom installation. Thank you.
Question from Ireland: Asked on 13/10/2025 If I mount this on the wall over my kitchen cabinets (i have very high ceilings) will it still heat the room?
What if something is placed in front of the heater at ground level and the heater is place on the wall at normal radiator height, will it still heat the room?
Hi, this infrared heater must be installed at least 20 cm from the floor. It will still work if mounted over high cabinets, but its heating will be less effective if objects block the infrared path. Mounting it at a standard radiator height with a clear area in front provides more even and efficient room heating. Thank you.
Question from Leebie: Asked on 22/09/2025 If the power is disconnected by a power cut or a power outage, does the unit return to the state it was in before the outage. Or does it go back to the off mode and thus you have to connect or manual turn it back on ?
Hi,Yes, the electriQ EPPH550WIR heater is designed with a power-off memory function. This means it will automatically resume its previous state (on or off) after a power cut, which is particularly useful for maintaining consistent heating schedules when the heater is used with its smart Wi-Fi and voice control capabilities. Thanks!
Question from Alan: Asked on 22/09/2025 how cheap is it to run
Hi, the electriQ 550W Paintable Smart Infrared Heater uses 550 watts when running at full power. Using the current average UK electricity cost of about 25p per kWh, it would cost roughly 15 pence per hour to operate continuously at full power. However, because the heater has a built-in thermostat and smart controls, it rarely runs at full power all the time, so actual running costs are usually lower.
This makes it an energy-efficient and cost-effective option for heating small spaces, with added benefits like Wi-Fi control, timers, and safety features.
Thank you.
Question from Matt Dillon: Asked on 18/09/2025 I am considering putting multiple units in my boarding kennels
What area does this item cover and what temperature does it reach Max?
How quickly does it heat the area?
HI Matt,The electriQ EPPH550WIR is a 550W infrared heater designed for rooms up to 10 m², which may be suitable for heating a dog kennel. Its effectiveness depends heavily on the kennel’s size and insulation. A 550W output is modest, so it may struggle to raise the temperature in a large or drafty space, especially if starting from very cold conditions. While specific data on max temperature and heat-up speed is not provided, the heater is designed to heat objects and surfaces rather than the air, which can provide a comfortable warmth for the animals. For optimal performance, the kennel should be well-insulated and of a small to moderate size. Thanks!
Question from Anncha: Asked on 17/09/2025 I dont have internet in my home. Can I use without?
Hi, this heater is designed to be controlled exclusively via the Tuya App. A raised box with a power switch and a Wi-Fi button is on the back of the unit. Therefore, without an internet connection, you won't be able to utilize the app's features to control the heater remotely or set schedules. If you need further sales and advice, please call us at 0871 984 4416 (calls cost 13p per min plus your network access charge). Thank you.
Question from Glen: Asked on 22/07/2025 Hi is this a ceramic panel?
Hi, Yes — the electriQ features a paintable ceramic panel. It’s an ultra-slim infrared heater with a ceramic body that sits just 1?cm from the wall (or 3?cm including the control panel), and you can literally paint the panel to match your room’s decor. Thanks!
