Please Note: All portable air conditioners must be vented out so the heat is removed from the room that is being cooled. The ideal solution is to vent them through a wall or window. For your convenience this air conditioner is supplied with a hose and a window venting kit so you can start using it straight away! The provided kit is designed to be installed with sliding or sash windows but is not ideal for other window types. For your convenience, ES72 comes with an exhaust hose and a complete window venting kit, designed for quick installation on most sash or sliding windows so you can start cooling right away. For other window or door types, the flexible hose can be positioned to direct warm air outdoors while maintaining a secure fit. If you’re looking to further improve insulation and maximize cooling performance, an optional universal window seal is available at checkout to help reduce warm air from re-entering the room.

Hi,You can use the hose with a skylight, but not by just placing it in the opening—you’ll need to properly seal the skylight with a panel or window kit so the hot air goes outside and doesn’t leak back in, otherwise the air conditioner won’t work efficiently.Thanks!

What size aperture is required
Hi Clive,Yes, the De’Longhi ES72 Pinguino can be vented through a wall as long as the exhaust is directed outside, and it requires a circular aperture of about 150 mm (6 inches) to match the diameter of the exhaust hose.Thanks!
