Question from Elica 60 cm cooker hood: Asked on 06/11/2025 The best way to clean the 60 cm cooker hood filters
Hi, How to Clean the Elica JOYE-60 60?cm Chimney Cooker Hood Filters:
Safety First: Ensure the cooker hood is switched off and unplugged before cleaning. Let it cool completely.
Remove the Filters: Open the latches under the hood and carefully remove the metal mesh grease filters.
Soak the Filters: Fill a sink or basin with hot water and add a few drops of mild dishwashing liquid. For heavy grease, you can also add a little baking soda. Soak the filters for 10–30 minutes.
Scrub Gently: After soaking, use a soft brush or sponge to remove any remaining grease. Avoid abrasive pads to prevent damaging the filters.
Rinse and Dry: Rinse the filters thoroughly with warm water to remove soap and grease. Dry completely before reinstalling to prevent rust.
Clean the Hood Interior and Exterior: While the filters are out, wipe the inside of the hood and the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Dry and buff the exterior to maintain its finish.
Reinstall Filters: Once fully dry, put the filters back in place and ensure they are securely latched.
Thank you.
