Question from Jamie: Asked on 24/04/2026 Hello, I was looking at one of your fridge freezers its the bosch series 6 i black,Now where we are thinking of placing it, is near a blank wall in the corner of out kitchen. Now, we never had an American-style fridge freezer, so I am wondering do we need to have it placed more near the water line, Any help with this would be massively appreciated.
Hi, The Bosch KAD93ABEP Series 6 American-style fridge freezer has a plumbed ice and water dispenser, which requires a direct connection to a mains cold water supply. The appliance must be installed using the supplied inlet hose and will not produce ice or dispense water unless it is connected to a water line. The water connection does not need to be directly behind the unit, but it must be accessible so a plumber can run a feed from the nearest suitable cold water pipework. A standard electrical supply is also required, along with adequate rear clearance for ventilation and the water hose.
