Question from Jf: Asked on 17/04/2026 this model comes complete with a grease filter and charcoal filter and the light makes sure you can always see what's cooking.( it says on the product information)
So why I to purchase charcoal filter separate for new one ?

Answer from JimsonGuzman: Answered on 17/04/2026

Hi, The Hotpoint PSLMO65FLSK cooker hood is supplied with both a grease filter and a charcoal filter when new, so an additional charcoal filter is not required at the point of purchase. However, the charcoal filter is a consumable part and will need replacing over time if the hood is used in recirculation mode, as it becomes less effective at removing odours. If the hood is ducted to an external vent, the charcoal filter is not required at all.

Thank you.

Question from Jf: Asked on 17/04/2026 Filter installing manual or grease and charcoal

Answer from JimsonGuzman: Answered on 17/04/2026

Hi, The Hotpoint 60cm Visor Cooker Hood (PSLMO65FLSK) has a washable metal grease filter located behind the front visor, which should be removed by opening the visor, releasing the clips, and sliding it out for regular cleaning in warm soapy water or a low-temperature dishwasher cycle, ensuring it is fully dry before refitting. If the hood is installed in recirculation mode, a charcoal filter must be fitted onto the motor inside the unit by aligning it in place and twisting clockwise to lock; this filter cannot be washed and should be replaced approximately every 4 months depending on usage. If the hood is ducted externally, the charcoal filter is not required.

Thank you.

Question from Jf: Asked on 17/04/2026 How to install a charcoal filter is required for odour removal.

Answer from JimsonGuzman: Answered on 17/04/2026

Hi, To install the charcoal (carbon) filter for odour removal on the Hotpoint 60cm Visor Cooker Hood (PSLMO65FLSK), first ensure the appliance is switched off at the mains. Open the visor panel and remove the metal grease filters. The charcoal filters are then fitted directly onto the motor housing inside the hood by aligning the filter with the motor mounting points and turning it clockwise until it locks securely into place. If the hood uses two carbon filters, the same process should be repeated on the opposite side of the motor. Once both filters are fitted, refit the metal grease filters and close the visor. The charcoal filters are used only in recirculation mode, cannot be washed, and should be replaced approximately every four months depending on usage.

Thank you.

Question from Jf: Asked on 17/04/2026 a charcoal filter is required for odour removal.
Does comes inbuilt

Answer from JimsonGuzman: Answered on 17/04/2026

Hi, The Hotpoint PSLMO65FLSK cooker hood is supplied with metal grease filters, but the charcoal (carbon) filter is not permanently built in. If the hood is used in recirculating mode (where air is filtered and returned into the room), a separate charcoal filter must be fitted inside the unit to remove cooking odours. This filter is a replaceable consumable and is not required only if the hood is installed for external extraction.

Thank you.

Question from Jf: Asked on 17/04/2026 For this cooker hood do can we use grease filter paper and charcoal filter

Answer from JimsonGuzman: Answered on 17/04/2026

Hi, The Hotpoint PSLMO65FLSK cooker hood uses a built-in washable metal grease filter as standard. It can be installed in ducted or recirculating mode. If used in recirculating mode, a charcoal filter is required for odour removal. Grease filter paper is not required or recommended for this model as it may restrict airflow and is not part of the manufacturer’s design.

Thank you.

Question from Hotpoint 60cm visor cooker hood: Asked on 13/12/2025 Is this a rear flue vent

Answer from JoseBacud: Answered on 18/12/2025

Hi,The Hotpoint PSLMO65FLSK 60cm conventional cooker hood does not have a rear flue vent; it only vents upwards through the top, so it requires vertical ducting. It can be used in recirculation mode, but if you want external venting, the duct must go upward rather than straight through the wall. Thanks!

Question from Nick: Asked on 06/12/2025 Hi what distance is required from this extractor to a gas oven

Answer from JoseBacud: Answered on 12/12/2025

Hi Nick,For the Hotpoint PSLMO65FLSK 60?cm extractor hood, the recommended distance above a gas hob is typically around 750?mm from the top of the burners to the lowest part of the hood. Always check your gas hob’s manual first, as any specific manufacturer instructions take priority. This clearance ensures both safety from flames and optimal extraction performance. Thanks!

Question from R Gatenby: Asked on 22/08/2025 Does it have rear ventilation

Answer from Aaron: Answered on 26/08/2025

This cooker hood does not have rear ventilation; it vents through the top only, so it’s suitable for ducting that runs vertically.
