Question from Ian: Asked on 01/02/2026 Does this cooker hood require connection to an external outlet to remove steam, smells etc.?
Hi Ian,The Indesit UHPM63FCSX 60?cm Chimney Cooker Hood can be installed in two ways: ducted to an external outlet, which efficiently removes steam, smoke, and cooking odors from your kitchen, or in recirculation mode, where air passes through a grease and carbon filter and is returned to the kitchen. While recirculation is possible, venting to the outside is strongly recommended for optimal removal of moisture and smells. Thanks!
Question from Ian: Asked on 01/02/2026 Do you need to replace the carbon filets. And if so where do you get them?
Hi Ian,If your Indesit 60?cm Chimney Cooker Hood (model UHPM63FCSX) is set up to recirculate air rather than vent it outside, you do need to replace the carbon (charcoal) filters regularly, typically every six months, because they absorb cooking odors and cannot be washed or reused. Thanks!
Question from Indesit chimney: Asked on 07/11/2025 How do you clean/ replace filters?
Hi, the grease filter must be cleaned once a month using non-aggressive detergents, either by hand or in the dishwasher, which must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. When washed in a dishwasher, the grease filter may discolor slightly, but this does not affect its filtering capacity. To remove the grease filter, pull the spring release handle. Thank you.
