However, the appliance’s power rating means it ideally requires a 16 amp power supply for safe, full-capacity operation. If a 16 amp connection is needed, this must be arranged separately by a qualified electrician.

Each side has its own adjustable thermostat, so you can control the temperature of the top and bottom plates separately.
