Hi, To clean the detergent drawer (the compartment that holds powder and softener) of the Hotpoint BIWMHG91485UK washing machine:
Pull the drawer out gently until it stops.
Press down on the release tab (usually a small plastic lever inside the drawer) to fully remove it.
Rinse the drawer under warm running water to remove detergent and softener residue.
Use an old toothbrush or soft brush to clean inside the compartments and remove any build-up.
Wipe the cavity where the drawer sits inside the machine with a damp cloth.
Dry everything well before reinserting the drawer back into place.
Doing this regularly helps prevent blockages and keeps your machine running smoothly.
