Question from Adrian: Asked on 25/01/2026 Can the ducting exit from the side of the unit and if so what is the minimum height of the enclosure that will house it?
Hi Adrian,The AEG 6000 Series 80?cm Canopy Hob2Hood (DGE5861HB) is designed for a top duct outlet only; it does not support a direct side exit. If you need the duct to exit sideways, you must route it from the top outlet using angled or flexible ducting. The hood itself is approximately 331?mm high, so when housing it in a cabinet, ensure there is enough clearance above the unit for ducting and any elbows. A standard wall unit with an internal height of around 720–800?mm is generally sufficient. Additionally, maintain a minimum distance of 500?mm above an electric hob or 570?mm above a gas hob for safe operation. Thanks!
Question from Kam: Asked on 11/01/2026 Hi, would this fit into a 800mm by 300mm wall unit? Thank you
Hi,The AEG 6000 Series 80?cm Canopy Cooker Hood (DGE5861HB) will fit into an 800?mm × 300?mm wall unit. The hood is 770?mm wide, 300?mm deep, and approximately 331?mm high, so it fits comfortably in width and depth, with a little space to spare. Just ensure there’s enough vertical clearance inside the cabinet for installation and proper ventilation, and allow room for ducting if you’re venting outside. Thanks!
Question from Phil: Asked on 18/12/2025 What length integrated hood do I need for a 60cm hob?
Hi, For a 60?cm hob, an 80?cm cooker hood is ideal because it’s wide enough to capture all steam and cooking fumes effectively.
Thank you.
