Hi, The electriQ EIQ90CHLL ceiling cooker hood is designed for installation on a flat, level ceiling only. The appliance must be mounted horizontally to ensure correct operation, safe airflow, and to prevent grease build-up. It is not suitable for direct installation on a pitched or angled ceiling. If fitting into a vaulted or sloped ceiling, a level mounting frame or dropped ceiling section would need to be constructed to provide a flat installation surface.

Question from Carol: Asked on 28/05/2026 I need an extractor which operates just on carbon filters so the grids can be washed as l do not have a vent outlet. Does this one have the option or can you recommend one which does . I want one which can be mounted in the ceiling above the island.
Hi, The electriQ EIQ90CHLL ceiling cooker hood supports both ducted and recirculation (ductless) operation. When used in recirculation mode, it does not require an external vent outlet and operates using activated carbon filters to remove cooking odours. The internal metal grease filters remain in place, are washable and reusable, and work alongside the carbon filters, which are replaceable consumables typically changed every 3–6 months depending on usage. This makes the EIQ90CHLL suitable for ceiling or island installation in kitchens where no external extraction is available.

Hi, The electriQ 90cm Ceiling Cooker Hood with Ring Light (EIQ90CHLL) must be installed at a minimum distance of 65cm above electric hobs and 75cm above gas hobs, in accordance with the installation instructions provided with the appliance.
