The Electrolux Professional IS185 myPRO is a commercial steam ironer with an 850mm roller that finishes up to 15kg of linen per hour. It suits hotels, bed and breakfasts and guesthouses pressing sheets and table linen in house. The open-ended design lets longer items pass through.
Installation and Connection
The IS185 is fitted with a 16A Schuko plug rather than a UK 13A plug, so it needs a suitable 16A connection set up by a qualified electrician. It does not take a mains water feed; steam comes from a removable 1.9L water container that can be refilled during use. It stands H105 x W94 x D40cm, weighs 39kg, folds away when not in use and moves on four heavy-duty castors.
Day-to-Day Use and Cleaning
The heated surface is hardened aluminium and reaches 90°C to 190°C in about 10 minutes. A foot pedal sets roller speed between 1.2 and 3.4m/min, leaving both hands free to feed linen. Steam output is 23g/min with three steam settings and five temperature settings. A safety finger guard, emergency stop button and standby mode are fitted, and a replaceable water softener cartridge helps prevent limescale.
