Hi, The exhaust hose on the electriQ P16HPW is designed to operate up to a maximum length of 1.8m when fully extended and should not be extended or modified beyond this, as doing so can restrict airflow, reduce efficiency, and increase the risk of overheating or reduced performance. For best results, the unit should be positioned as close as possible to a suitable window and used with the supplied window kit.

Hi, The electriQ P16HPW does support continuous drainage when used in dehumidifier (and heating) mode. This is done by connecting a suitable hose to the rear drain outlet, allowing water to drain away continuously into a sink, drain or suitable outlet. Please note that a dedicated permanent drainage kit is not included, and instead a standard hose connection is used, which must run downward for gravity drainage to work correctly.

Hi, Yes — this unit must be vented externally when used in air conditioning (cooling) mode, using the supplied exhaust hose and window kit, as it works by removing warm air from the room and expelling it outside; without venting, it will not cool the space effectively.
