Question from E Oliver: Asked on 13/01/2026 what is the Flame Failure Devce on your dual fuel range cookers
Hi, The Flame Failure Device (FFD) on the Rangemaster Professional Plus 90cm Dual Fuel Range Cooker is a vital safety feature that automatically shuts off the gas supply if the flame goes out. This can occur if the flame is accidentally extinguished, for example, due to a gust of wind or a spill. The FFD detects the loss of flame and immediately cuts off the gas flow to prevent any potential gas leakage. If the flame goes out, simply turn the control knob off, wait a few moments for any gas to dissipate, and then you can safely re-light the burner.
Thank you
