The Smeg SPD505UK Ecoline is a commercial undercounter dishwasher with a 500mm basket, suited to cafes, restaurants and bars washing plates and glasses through service. It handles up to 40 baskets per hour, which is up to 720 plates or 1440 glasses.
Installation and Connection
Hardwired, needs connecting by a qualified electrician. The machine draws 6.8kW and arrives set for a 30A single phase hardwired supply; the multiphase electrics can be adapted to a 13A, 20A or 32A supply. It needs a water connection and has a fitted drain pump, a break tank and an external rinse boost pump. There is no integrated water softener. The unit measures H82 x W58 x D60cm, needs 1000mm depth with the door open, weighs 57kg and stands on adjustable feet.
Day-to-Day Use and Cleaning
Three wash programmes run for 90, 150 or 240 seconds, plus a self-cleaning programme for the end of a shift. The HTR system holds the rinse at 85°C, and a soft start wash pump builds pressure gradually to protect glassware. Rinse aid and detergent dosing pumps are built in. A 4-stage filter system and a moulded AISI 304 stainless steel tank help keep wash water clear, and a cycle counter is fitted. Water use is 8.2 litres per cycle.
