Question from John: Asked on 12/02/2026 Why can this model be plugged in to a normal 13A socket, but model SKU: IKX64301CB cannot have a 13A cable and plug attached and needs to be plugged to a 32A circuit?
Hi, The TN64IA04FB is limited to around 3 kW so it can safely operate from a 13 A socket, while the IKX64301CB draws over 7 kW and must be hard-wired to a 32 A circuit in line with UK electrical regulations.
Thank you.
Question from Dave lunan: Asked on 08/02/2026 Can I wire this into my cooker circuit, and will it still be max rating of 3 kw even though it’s on the higher amps
Hi Dave,You cannot safely wire the AEG TN64IA04FB induction hob to a standard cooker circuit, because it requires a dedicated 32?A supply; connecting it to a lower-rated circuit won’t change its maximum power, but it could overload the wiring or trip the breaker. Thanks!
Question from Richard Smart: Asked on 16/12/2025 Can all cooking zones be used at the same time on plug in hobs.
Does this hob require programming before use or is it plug and play
Hi, The AEG 5000 Series 60?cm 4-Zone Induction Hob (TN64IA04FB) is a plug-in, plug-and-play model that comes with a standard 13?A plug and does not require any programming before use — simply plug it in and it’s ready to cook. All four induction zones can be used at the same time, but because it runs from a 13?A supply with a total rating of 3?kW, the hob’s power management may automatically share power between zones if they are all in use at high settings.
Thank you.
Question from Carol: Asked on 09/12/2025 Is the power boost function on all rings?
Hi, The AEG TN64IA04FB induction hob has a PowerBoost function available on all four cooking zones. Each ring can be boosted individually, although the hob may automatically limit total power if several zones are boosted at the same time.
Thank you.
Question from Bev: Asked on 01/12/2025 Do you have to buy the hood with this hob as it has the hob to hood function or can you just buy the hob without the hood
Hi, You can buy the hob on its own — it works perfectly without a hood. The Hob²Hood feature only works if you have a compatible hood, so if you want the fan and lights to adjust automatically while cooking, you’ll need one. Otherwise, the hob will work just fine by itself.
Thank you.
