Hi, the Pit Boss Ultimate 4-Burner Lift-Off Plancha (10813) does not need to be oiled or seasoned before cooking. The ceramic non-stick cooking surface is ready to use once the initial burn-off procedure has been completed as outlined in the manual. You can use a small amount of cooking oil during cooking if preferred, but it is not required. For best results, clean the surface as recommended and avoid abrasive tools that could damage the ceramic coating.
