Question from Nora: Asked on 10/05/2026 Is this hob portable ? Or does it have to be fitted
Hi Nora,On the Hotpoint TQ1460SNE 59cm 4 Zone Induction Hob, each hob control matches the position of the cooking rings: top left controls the back-left zone, top right controls the back-right, bottom left controls the front-left, and bottom right controls the front-right. For cooking steak, you should use one of the front zones (usually the bottom left or bottom right) because they tend to be the most powerful and heat up fastest, which is ideal for a good sear. Thanks!
Hi, The AT30TI is a built-in hob, so it needs to be fitted into a kitchen worktop. Although it has a standard 13A plug for easy connection, it is not a portable or freestanding appliance.
Thank you.
Question from Ez: Asked on 20/03/2026 Hi,
Can this be free standing?
Thanks, Ez
Hi, The AT30TI 30cm 2 Zone Domino Ceramic Hob is designed as a built-in appliance and must be installed into a suitable worktop cut-out. It is not designed or approved for free-standing use, as it requires proper support and ventilation within a fitted installation to operate safely and correctly.
Thank you.
Question from Ez: Asked on 20/03/2026 Hi, Does this have a fan system underneath/ how does it self cool? Thank you
Hi, The AT30TI ceramic hob does not have an internal cooling fan. It is designed to cool passively through natural heat dissipation via the glass surface and airflow around the unit, with proper ventilation required beneath the worktop. Residual heat indicators are included to warn when the surface remains hot after use.
Thank you.
