The details
The Tasciugo AriaDry Evo DEP214 is De’Longhi’s low-energy, low-noise take on the 14-litre dehumidifier. It removes up to 14 litres of excess moisture a day (at 30°C / 80% RH) on a 215W rating – more than a quarter less power than the DEX214F† – which works out at about 5.7p an hour at the current Ofgem price cap.
At 38 dB(A), and certified by Quiet Mark, it is built to run in bedrooms and home offices. The soft-touch LCD panel and built-in hygrometer show the room’s humidity, the adjustable humidistat holds the level you set, and laundry mode optimises fan speed and extraction to get washing dry faster – around 23p for a 4-hour session.
Everyday details make it easy to live with: a 4L tank that switches the unit off when full, continuous drainage for damp spells, and integrated wheels and handles to move it between rooms. It uses R290, a natural refrigerant with a very low global warming potential, and is made with a minimum of 30% recycled plastic.
Why buy me
- More than a quarter less power than the 14L AriaDry: Rated at just 215W against De’Longhi’s 14L Tasciugo AriaDry Multi DEX214F – the same 14 litres a day for less.
- About 5.7p an hour to run: Based on its 215W rating at the 26.32p/kWh Ofgem price cap, and around 23p to dry a load of washing in 4 hours.
- Quiet Mark certified: Independently certified by Quiet Mark and rated at 38 dB(A), so it can work in a bedroom or home office without disturbing you.
- Nearly twice the tank: A 4L tank against 2.1L on the AriaDry DEX range means fewer trips to the sink. It switches off when full, or set it up for continuous drainage.
- Rolls from room to room: Built-in wheels and handles – from the bathroom after a shower to the bedroom for window condensation.
- Clear, soft-touch controls: The LCD control panel with built-in hygrometer shows the room’s humidity, and the adjustable humidistat holds the level you choose instead of over-drying.
- Laundry mode that earns its keep: Optimises fan speed and extraction so washing on an airer dries faster, with 3 fan speeds for everyday use.
- Recycled plastic, natural refrigerant: Made with a minimum of 30% recycled plastic and uses R290, a natural refrigerant with a very low global warming potential.
