Hi Colin,The vent slots on the CDA 100?cm ECH103SS chimney hood are located at the top of the unit, inside the chimney section. Air is extracted upwards through this top outlet, whether ducted outside or recirculated through filters; there are no vent slots low down on the chimney body.Thanks!
