Hi, The electriQ 46 Bottle Dual Zone Wine Cooler is a freestanding unit that needs good ventilation to work properly. It can be placed under the stairs only if there’s enough space around it for airflow and hot air can escape. If the area is too tight or enclosed, it may overheat or struggle to maintain the correct temperature.
