The details
This cutting-edge induction hob is packed with amazing features to make cooking a breeze. It comes with a handy bridging function that allows you to combine two cooking zones together, giving you more space to cook with larger pots and pans. It also has a built-in extractor fan in the centre to extract unwanted cooking odours and fumes. It offers nine different power levels to choose from, including a boost mode, which provides an extra burst of heat. There’s also a built-in timer to ensure every dish is cooked to perfection. Thanks to induction technology, it’ll only activate heating once your pan is in the cooking zone, saving you energy as you cook.

Question from Anthony: Asked on 16/04/2026 Hi, we are looking for a vented hob to go into our island, therefore we don’t have anywhere to ‘vent’ the air. Does this unit need to have ducting and to vent out?
Hi Anthony,The electriQ eIQ80INDDF venting induction hob does not need to be ducted outside, as it can operate in recirculation mode, where the air is filtered through grease and carbon filters and then released back into the kitchen, so it is suitable for an island installation without external venting as long as there is proper internal airflow, usually via a plinth or cabinet vent. Thanks!
Question from Lisa: Asked on 15/04/2026 Could you explain what the 2 zone is on this electric hob with extraction
Hi, The electriQ eiQ80INDDF hob features four standard induction cooking zones, with two flexible (bridge) zones—one on the left and one on the right. Each flexible zone allows two individual cooking zones to be linked together and controlled as one larger cooking area. This provides extra space for larger cookware such as griddle pans or roasting trays, while still using defined induction heating zones beneath the glass.
Thank you.
Question from Leigh: Asked on 14/04/2026 Is there a min depth of worktop required.
I have a 22mm thick worktop and am
Looking to purchase an induction hob
Hi, The electriQ eIQ80INDDF venting induction hob is designed for installation on a worktop with a thickness of 30–40mm, and a 22mm worktop falls below this required range; as a result, installation on a 22mm surface would be outside the specified installation parameters and may compromise the fixing security, stability, and correct installation of the appliance.
Thank you.
Question from graeme: Asked on 09/04/2026 There’s no picture showing the direction of the ducting outlet. Does it come straight out of the back. Graeme
Hi Graeme,The extractor on the electriQ 80 cm venting induction hob doesn’t vent straight out of the back; instead, it pulls air downwards into the unit below, and you then route ducting from there to the rear (or another direction) depending on your installation. Thanks!
Question from Mike: Asked on 27/10/2025 what are the dimensions for the deep part of the hob. I am wondering if this deeper section would fit in a 600 unit.
Hi Mike, the hob's cut-out width is 770 mm, so it will not fit in a standard 600 mm unit. Thank you.
Question from Alex: Asked on 22/10/2025 What is the fan noise range. The spec only states the maximum noise.
Hi, The electriQ 80cm 4 Zone Venting Induction Hob (eIQ80INDDF) has a minimum fan noise of 53 dB. This noise level is typical for induction hobs with integrated ventilation systems and is comparable to the sound of a normal conversation or quiet background noise.
Thank you.
Question from Marie Dodds: Asked on 20/10/2025 Would this hob be ok with a cupboard above it
Hi Marie,To ensure safe and efficient use, induction hobs typically require at least 55–60 cm of clearance from the surface to any cupboard above. If your cupboard is too low, it could interfere with ventilation, causing the hob to overheat, reducing cooking efficiency, or making the controls harder to access. Thanks!
Question from Knoll View Property Maintenance: Asked on 20/10/2025 I want to duct this under my floor what size flat duct would I need? And do you sell the kits ?
Hi,For the electriQ EIQ80INDDF 80cm 4-zone venting induction hob, you'll typically need a 150mm (6-inch) diameter duct for the built-in extraction system. This size ensures adequate airflow for venting, and you can choose between flexible ducting for easier installation or rigid ducting for better efficiency. When selecting a ducting kit, make sure it includes necessary components like connectors, clamps, and possibly a backdraft damper. Thanks!
