During a power cut, the electric ignition and lights will not work, so the burners and ovens cannot light automatically. However, you can safely light them manually with a match or lighter, and the gas will continue to burn normally.

Hi, The electriQ 100cm Gas Range Cooker can be plugged into a standard 13?A household socket. It doesn’t need a special cooker socket. The electricity is just for the ignition and oven lights, but the gas connection must be done by a Gas Safe engineer.
