Warranty Terms for 5-year Extended Warranty Promotion
- 1.1 These terms and conditions apply to the free extended warranty to 5 years in total provided to you by Electrolux plc (“Electrolux”) in relation to the Appliance indicated by you in registration form (the ”Extended Warranty”).
- 1.2 The Extended Warranty is only available on the eligible Appliances set out in the Appendix to these terms. Some Appliances will only be eligible for the Extended Warranty during time-limited offers presented from time to time as set out in the Appendix.
- 1.3 Nothing in these terms is intended to limit any of your statutory rights, the standard warranty in respect of the Appliance or the obligations of your retailer and your contract with them.
2-DEFINITIONS
- Whenever used in these Extended Warranty Terms the following terms will have the following meaning:
- Appliance – An Appliance eligible for the Extended Warranty, as listed in the Appendix to these terms, provided that (i) the appliance has been authorised according the product’s manual for use in the UK & Ireland, and (ii) is located in the UK & Ireland. Electrolux reserves the right to update the eligible Appliances from time to time;
- Commercial Warranty – voluntary commercial warranty provided to you for the Appliance by Electrolux as manufacturer, importer, distributor or seller of the Appliance.
3-SCOPE OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY
- 3.1 To qualify for the free Extended Warranty to 5 years in total, you are required to register the Appliance on https://www.aeg.co.uk/5YearWarrantyClaim within 90 days of purchase.
- 3.2 After registering your Appliance and applying for the Extended Warranty via the Electrolux website (www.aeg.co.uk), you will receive a confirmation e-mail from Electrolux which must be retained by you as proof of the Extended Warranty.
- 3.3 The Extended Warranty extends the standard two-year Commercial Warranty by a further three (3) years. The Extended Warranty will come into force on the expiry of the Commercial Warranty. The terms and conditions of that Commercial Warranty (found here: https://www.aeg.co.uk/overlays/service-terms-and-conditions/) will continue to apply during the term of the Extended Warranty.
- 3.4 The Extended Warranty is only available to end-consumers, and not, for the avoidance of doubt, to any company or organisation who has purchased the Appliance for the purpose of resale or for commercial use.
4-FINAL PROVISIONS
- 4.1 Electrolux reserves the right to void these Extended Warranty Terms in the event of physical or verbal abuse towards any member of staff.
- 4.2 By registering your Appliance, you agree to be bound by these Extended Warranty Terms.
- 4.3 If any provision of these Extended Warranty Terms (or part of any provision) is found by any court or other authority of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision or part-provision shall, to the extent required, be deemed not to form part of these Extended Warranty Terms and the validity and enforceability of the other provision of these Extended Warranty Terms shall not be affected.
- 4.4 Electrolux shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claim(s) including, without limitation, to require further verification as to the identity, and other relevant details about you and/or the verification of your qualifying purchase.
- 4.5 Where you have registered for the Extended Warranty at a distance/remotely, you may withdraw the Extended Warranty without stating the reason, by submitting a written statement to Electrolux by mail to the following address F.A.O. - 4.6 These Extended Warranty Terms are governed by English Law and come under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
