Hi, On the Hotpoint HTG6GDCW cooker, the switch on the left-hand side of the control panel is the oven light control. It switches the interior oven lamp on and off, and does not affect the burners or heating functions.

Hi, This Hotpoint cooker uses gas for cooking but does still need a small electrical connection for the ignition, lights and controls. It comes fitted with a 13?A plug and can be connected to a standard UK 13?amp socket, so no red cooker socket or special high-current connection is required. The gas supply must be installed by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
